Royal encounter with Queen Máxima! 👑
This week, we had the incredible honor to officially hand over the annual report “Staat van het mkb 2025”, together with our robot dog Trusty to Jacques van den Broek and Her Majesty 🔸 Queen Máxima at Unmanned Valley.

For a company that started just one year ago, being recognized at such an important national stage is a proud moment we will never forget. Together with two other innovative companies from Unmanned Valley, Frank van der Hulst and I (Remco Koemans) had the privilege to be part of the official group photo with the entire Nederlands Comité voor Ondernemerschap, including Barbara Baarsma, Eva Beekman – Sillen, Meiny Prins, Diederik Laman Trip, and Jacques van den Broek.
During the round-table discussion, we gained invaluable insights, especially from Diederik Laman Trip, that will shape our next steps as we continue building trustworthy robot identity systems
🎯 Why this is a proud moment
For Frank, Trusty, and me, this event is more than a ceremony, it’s a validation of our vision and hard work. In just one year, Stormcatch has gone from concept to nationally recognized innovator, demonstrating how technology, robotics, and entrepreneurship can make real impact.
Seeing Trusty at the handover, interacting with Queen Máxima, reminded us: when innovation meets purpose, anything is possible
🙏 Gratitude – A huge thank you to:
- Her Majesty Queen Máxima Royal House of the Netherlands
- Jacques van den Broek
- The Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship
- The team at Unmanned Valley (Theo de Vries, Walter Kort)
- The entire Stormcatch Robot Authorization team
- smartrobot.solutions as our preferred robot supplier
- And of course, Trusty, our star Unitree Robotics robot-dog 🐕

What does Stormcatch Robot Authorization do as an innovative Dutch company?
More and more autonomous robots will be moving, walking, flying, and swimming in our society. These robots will regularly encounter other people or robots and perform tasks together. This could be something simple, like doing groceries, or something critical, such as handling transport at customs. In every case, both parties need to be able to guarantee that they know who they are dealing with. Stormcatch develops technology that gives robots a digital identity and the proper authorizations.
